NPCS is looking for partners to bring better nutrition to more Nepali communities.

You can be a partner in enriching lives through better nutrition!

1. Partner with NPCS to fund/conduct a community nutrition project:
  • Projects are conducted in a defined working area for 4 years, including baseline and endline surveys.
  • Activities focus on training, awareness-raising and behavioural change amongst both community members and local health and development workers.
  • NPCS assigns one local nutrition assistant per target VDC, supervised by a district nutrition in-charge.
  • NPCS central office provides all management and supervision of the project, in close coordination with partner organisations and donors.

2. Equip your staff with the nutrition knowledge and skills to make a difference in their working area:

NPCS has a long history of providing training packages to the staff of organisations working in development in Nepal.

Training is conducted either at a central office or in the field area, and includes a mix of theoretical background and practical application as well as follow-up on the implementation of training by participants.

Training packages are tailored to the organisation’s specific needs and targets.

Topics covered may include:

  • Basic concepts of food and nutrition
  • Protein-energy malnutrition
  • Micronutrient deficiencies
  • Nutrition for pregnant and lactating women
  • Breastfeeding
  • Complementary feeding of infants
  • Feeding of children aged 2-5
  • Nutrition during illness
  • Kitchen gardening
  • Food processing and preservation
  • Food hygiene
  • Other topics as per trainees’ needs

3. Make a donation to NPCS’s work:

NPCS can receive donations as cheques (in any major currency) sent to its central office, or as direct transfers to its bank account in Kathmandu.
